Offensive line depth is waning

The Minnesota Vikings lost another offensive lineman Friday when rookie tackle Kevin Murphy left the field after getting sick. He was accompanied by a team doctor and put in an ice bath. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but coach Leslie Frazier said that by the end of practice, he had gotten word that Murphy was fine.

Murphy is the fourth lineman to go down during camp. DeMarcus Love is out a couple weeks with a should injury, and Pat Brown will miss a couple days with a sprained knee. Geoff Schwartz was in the Twin Cities on Friday to get an MRI on an abdominal injury, and Frazier said he was awaiting results.

The team had two lineman on the field after Friday's practice for a workout, and Frazier said earlier in the day that the team would likely add a player at that position. Only 11 healthy lineman remain on the roster.

Jared Allen said this was the second-toughest training camp he's ever participated in. The toughest was in Kansas Cit under Dick Vermeil. He said five days of live hitting have been tough.

Cornerback Eric Frampton was injured when receiver Stephen Burton landed on his ribs. Frazier said that Frampton had the wind knocked out of him.

Receiver Percy Harvin appeared to aggravate a hand injury from a couple days ago. He tried to catch a low pass and came up shaking his hand.

Rookie cornerback Josh Robinson joined team drills for the first time since injuring his hamstring early in training camp.

Kicker Blair Walsh ended Friday's practice with a 55-yard field goal that had plenty to spar.
